I went to this "school" for three years.(95-98). i'm(very belatedly) trying to finish things at a supposedly better Home School called James Madison High School. I need my transcripts so I can know where I need to start again. If anyone can help me get in contact with them, I would be indebted. Btw, has anyone heard of this JMHS? It sounds a little TOO good. My fiance's brother, who is 17, has effectively dropped out of high school. He has been "Home Schooled" for his entire life, but this means he has little to no education since his parents basically just let him sit at home all day every day and do nothing. Before I continue, I also was home schooled and my parents did a great job. I graduated at the top of my class in high school and have done very well in college. However, it's people like his parents that ruin a good thing. They think education is stupid and unnecessary. What can I do to convince him not to quit and also to convince them not to encourage him in ruining his life?

I REALLY DO THINK IT IS GARBAGE. I DON'T AGREE WITH WORKING 40 PLUS HOURS 5-6 DAYS A WEEK AND LIVING FROM PAYCHECK TO PAYCHECK. IT'S BS. WHAT IS THE POINT OF LIFE IF YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE ONE DUE TO WORKING ALL OF THE TIME. IF ANYONE HAS LEGIT INFORMATION ON HOW I CAN MAKE MONEY WITHOUT WORKING FOR SOMEONE ELSE, FILL ME IN. PLEASE, NO LECTURES LIKE "GO TO SCHOOL" I THINK COLLEGE IS BS ALSO, THEY MAKE YOU TAKE "GENERAL" COURSES THAT HAVE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WORK THAT YOU WILL BE DOING IN THE FUTURE. THAT IS HOW THEY MAKE THEIR MONEY, PLUS CHARGING OUTRAGEOUS PRICES FOR BOOKS. ALSO, WHAT DO MOST GRADS DO AFTER COLLEGE, THEY WORK FOR SOMEONE ELSE. I WAS IN THE MARINES FOR 4 YEARS BREAKING MY BACK WHILE OTHERS WAS AT HOME SITTING ON THEIR ASS. I'VE BEEN WORKING SINCE I WAS 14, I'M NOW 26 AND IT'S TIME FOR A CHANGE. I had this setup before but I forgot the name of it.
Its something where everytime i boot up my comp a program runs and gives me a weblink.
Then i use that link at school to browse the internet through my home comp.
It was not actually a simple program though, i had to do some stuff in apache and mess with it. but it worked.
Does anyone know what this "program" is or where i can find it???
