We're thinking of Homeschooling our children in the near future. I do not want a "Christian based" curriculum. I've looked in to several. However, I was just wondering what others out there people have used. Or do you set up your own curriculum?
Thanks for all the responses. However, guess I should clarify. Which may lead to another question. I'm looking for a program that would be a single cost...not something where I would have to pay a monthly fee for. Do these exist or are most of the pre-established curriculums within a certain program that costs each month?

Home Schooling curriculums
Homeschooling is an alternative form of education that many parents are turning to. Our American Home School website was developed to answer as many questions as possible including questions on home schooling curriculums
and to offer resources for the best text books and curriculum information that is available.
Is anyone familiar with either of these Home Schooling Curriculum?--Rod & Staff or Landmark's Freedom?
Baptist Curriculum. If so, please tell me what you liked and what you disliked about either? If you have used either, would you use again? Why or why not?
They are both *very* conservative Christian curriculums. Rod & Staff is published by Mennonites, and Landmark Freedom but conservative Baptists.
If you are very conservative, then they are wonderful. However, if you're not, you're going to have to do a lot of editing.
Personally, as a Christian, I don't think it's necessary to use a Christian curriculum all the time. I'd much rather take a "blank slate" curriculum, and add our beliefs to it, rather than say, "Well, *some* Christians believe this, but we don't." So I mix and match curriculums, focusing more on what fits my son's learning style and what fits my teaching and learning styles.
